UNBELIEVABLE! A Member Of Congress Said THIS About The Border?

You can’t fix stupid, but you can certainly elect it to office. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) is arguably the least intelligent, but self-important Congresswoman serving the people of the United States.

Her statements and actions over the years have rivaled, in unabridged stupidity, Representative Hank Johnson’s (D-GA) concerns over the territory of Guam capsizing if 8,000 marines were sent to the tiny island.

In a, “Can you believe an elected official just said that?” moment, Lee appeared on MSNBC to explain that there was no problem with the southern border of the united States. The Congresswoman said,

I disagree, that our border is in [a] devastating condition. Our border control agents are doing their job.”

She made that statement at a time when the White House was declaring a humanitarian crisis as tens of thousands of unaccompanied children were swarming over the border.

When pressed for clarification as to whether or not she was suggesting that the border was secured, she said,

“I think our border, with now 21,000 border control agents, is under control.

We need to give them more resources, more equipment, and they can stand to have more support as relates to the increasing of those numbers that may come through the supplemental.

There’s a large amount of money for increasing numbers of border control and ICE officers, but I would not cry fire to suggest that our border control agents are not on the job.”

Congresswoman Lee has shown her elitism when she decided to talk on her cell phone during a town hall rather than bothering to listen to and answer the question of one of her constituents.

Lee has also been the center of mockery for suggesting that the constitution was over 400 years old.

“Maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman and others, for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation, and how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years, operating under a Constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not.

She is famous for declaring Pepsi commercials racist, condemning the naming of hurricanes as being “too white”, saying that a repeal of Obamacare would be unconstitutional, explaining the situation of the two Vietnams, and being curious about… brace yourself, because this is going to hurt:

Incredibly, and this is more of a criticism of the people Texas’ 18th congressional district, Sheila Jackson Lee has been elected and reelected to office since 1995.
